Memorial Day

This picture always puts a lump in my throat.  The older gentleman is a Pearl Harbor survivor and the Marine is an Iraq vet that lost an eye, hand, and leg in a roadside bomb explosion.  You may have seen it because it is a couple years old.  These men are two out of millions of men that have laid their lives on the line so that we can have the ability to do the things that we do in this great country of ours.  Lets take today to remember the ones that didn't come back alive or that never made it home.  These men and women are what makes our country great.  Take the time to remember them and thank the Lord for all these great men and women who have made the ultimate sacrifice and for the freedoms He has given to us because of those sacrifices.

Okay, no fair making me cry first thing in the morning!! This photo is incredible! I have never seen it! Look at the way the older man is laying his head on the marine! That is priceless and so beautiful! What an amazing photograph, I'm so glad you posted it.. it has really touched and impacted me. If there is any other information on the marine, I would love to read his story about what happened in Iraq.
